Warning to Republicans: Stay Away from ObamaCare

by Alex Ritz on February 8, 2010

Republicans need to be very careful in regard to the invite from President Obama to attend a health care summit. While trying to look reasonable and extend a hand to Republicans in a show of bipartisanship, the White House has revealed that this is just a show. Even before all the invite recipients had time to read the invite, a White House aide admitted that the President has no intention of scrapping the toxic plan that the Democrats have been crafting/purchasing in Congress.

from The Wall Street Journal:

“I want to come back and have a large meeting, Republicans and Democrats, to go through systematically all the best ideas that are out there and move it forward,” the president told CBS in an interview broadcast Sunday.

A White House aide on Sunday said the president didn’t intend to start from scratch. “We’re not starting over. We’re coming in with our plan,” the aide said.

This can only mean that the President is being disingenuous and has no intention of actually listening and evaluating Republican ideas.

The Republicans should stand as “The party of No” when it comes to the health care legislation that the Democrats have crafted. The American people do not want what ObamaCare has to offer. The Republican are in a very good position leading up to the November mid-terms as long as they stick to their anti-ObamaCare message.

After all, I thought that the President was all about Jobs, Jobs, Jobs. What happened to that initiative?

Just more rhetoric with no action. A feature that has become commonplace with this Administration.
