Obama, The EPA and Jobs

by Alex Ritz on January 11, 2010

Obama consistently makes claims that he is concerned with jobs and the economy. On December 3rd the White House held a jobs summit to show the American people just how serious they’re taking the unemployment rate. What came out of the jobs summit you ask? Nothing. But it made for a good 30 second clip on the evening news.

Now the EPA is preparing to release federal rules curbing industrial greenhouse-gas emissions that will have a direct and adverse effect on businesses large and small across the United States. A number of states are urging the administration and the EPA to delay these changes in an effort to avoid the negative ramifications created by these new non-essential rules. If this Administration is truly concerned about unemployment, it will delay this job killing initiative until the recession recedes and people get back to work.

What’s it going to be Mr Obama?
