Dodd “Urged” Not to Run

by Alex Ritz on January 11, 2010

Did any of us actually believe that Chris Dodd decided not to run for reelection on his own?

From the Wall Street Journal:

The task of coaxing Mr. Dodd from the race was left to Sen. Robert Menendez, chairman of the Senate Democrats’ campaign committee. He told Mr. Dodd over dinner in December that party leaders wouldn’t abandon him if he ran, but pointed to the incumbent’s struggling campaign and said, “Chris, I’m very, very worried,” according to a strategist.

hmmm..all very watered down and PC. Makes you wonder what Menendez actually said during dinner. Did he bring his sickle?

I guess we can’t count this job as “Created or Saved.”
